Leaky Tuck at HIFF! MAY 29 2026!

The babely and brilliant Brody Weaver and Marley O’Brien made this incredible animated short, Leaky Tuck Tells s Story, that is showing at the The Halifax Independent Filmmakers Festival (HIFF) on Friday May 29th at the Busstop Theater in Halifax. I was blessed to get to be a part of the Out of Line trans artist group/residency that ran in 2025, facilitated by Mo Glitch and Excel Garay at the Khyber Center for the Arts in Kjipuktuk/Halifax, through which I got to work and play in closer proximity to these incredible artists. Inspired by the work of Hellen Hill and her DIY ethos, Brody & Marley collaborated on this animation project to which I contributed audio for the soundtrack. It was a really fantastic project to work on as the vibe was light and easy…”only do it if it’s fun”…and I had a blast working from a list they provided of scene ideas and potential sounds they might want for the piece. All audio was recorded lo-fi & on the fly using the voice note recorder on my phone and the gear/instrument set-up I have at home. Check it out at HIFF and/or keep an eye/ear out for other future screenings!
